Homage to Brian Catling, 2024
Live performance at Candid Arts Gallery, London
I was honoured to be invited to create a seven-minute live performance as part of a weekend-long tribute celebrating the life and work of the extraordinary Brian Catling. His art was bold, confrontational, and laced with magic, and I aimed to channel those same qualities in my response to his writing and performance practice.
The piece was deeply personal and instinctive, shaped by the spirit of Brian’s work. It was incredibly moving to have it so warmly received, especially by his son.
